- Thyme essential oil is a wonderfully natural insect repellent, I always make sure I have some with me on our family camping trips. A naturally potent anti-viral, it contains properties that make it one of my go to essential oils.
Here are a few of my favourite aromatherapy infused recipes:
Insect repellent: At night just pop one neat drop or Thyme essential oil onto a cotton wool ball nearby and the bugs will stay away.
Halitosis: (Bad breath) caused by gum disease - make this mouth wash and rinse morning and night - into one teaspoon (5ml) of brandy, 2 drops of Thyme essential oil and 2 drops on Tea Tree - then mix this into a cup of warm water and rinse.
