You can’t stop the rain, but you can stop the sniffles…
If you feel a cold creeping up - that dull ache, that faint tickle of doom - don’t panic. You can’t reason with a virus, but you can make your body an inhospitable place for one to move in.
Start with scent. A few drops of eucalyptus or tea tree oil in a diffuser turns your home into a sort of chic infirmary — fresh, antiseptic, faintly spa-like. Peppermint works wonders too: clears the head, clears the sinuses, gives you the moral high ground over everyone coughing on public transport.
Inhale steam. Properly. Bowl, hot water, towel, head — it’s not glamorous, but you’ll emerge pink-cheeked and clear-headed, ready to face the day again.
Rub a little lavender or rosemary (mixed with a carrier oil, obviously) on your wrists before bed - it helps you sleep deeply, and sleep is the most underrated medicine there is.
Or, if you prefer a shortcut to serenity, spritz a little of our Pillow Mist - filled with soothing orange and lavender essential oils. It’s like being gently tucked in by scent itself.
And if all else fails, run a long, gloriously hot bath. Add a capful of our Bath Foam in Deepest Sleep (again a blend of orange and lavender that feels like a lullaby in liquid form) finish with a spritz of Magnesium Mist. It eases tired muscles, helps your body rest, and might just coax your immune system into behaving itself.
Finally, make yourself a little “immunity blend” - eucalyptus, lemon, clove and wear it like armour. You’ll smell like a particularly well-groomed forest, and if that’s not the scent of wellness, what is?
Talk soon,

P.S - this drink always helps me too (I always use Manuka honey!)
