First thing on the list: my scented egg diffuser. It’s such a tiny, unassuming thing, yet it manages to fill the whole house with a sort of quiet excitement, a whiff of optimism that says, “Yes, brighter days are here, deal with it.” And the best bit? You can bring it out year after year, try doing that with a chocolate egg.
A Seasonal Touch to Décor
I have a bit of a thing for marking the seasons. There’s no better way to do it than with these scented eggs. In spring, I mist them liberally with 91 Days of Spring and suspend them from decorative branches in a vase or a bouquet if I’m feeling fancy. I always put one in the hallway so that the instant you walk in, there’s this gentle, floral welcome. Guests always comment, which is lovely, because who doesn’t enjoy a little domestic admiration?
Creating Rituals of Wellbeing
My children, of course, have turned this into a morning sport. They leap out of bed, racing to see who gets to spritz the egg first. Honestly, it’s like Easter came early every day of the week.
Elevating Everyday Spaces
And it’s not just decorative. I hang them in my wardrobe, on the windowsill, even on my desk. These little fragrant reminders are a bit like sunbeams you can hang: evidence that the world outside is brightening, and inside, life can feel just that bit sweeter.
