Light it and the room bursts into bloom.
The flame takes hold and everything brightens. A sparkle of citrus peel and neroli lifts first, fresh and optimistic, like sunlight breaking through cloud. Lily of the valley catches the light, its tiny bell blooms fresh and luminous. Jasmine arrives generous, soft and heady, as though someone has brushed past with armfuls of their delicate blooms.
A ribbon of fig leaf drifts through, green and cool, adding that just snapped stem freshness you only find at a proper flower market.
