Our Coastal Walks candle is an olfactory reverie that turns four walls into something far grander. A clearing in the woods. A winding path to the sea. A place where the air is wild, salt laced, and utterly alive.

I wanted Coastal Walks to feel like one of my favourite Norfolk days. Those walks that begin under trees and end by the sea, where the air changes slowly and you do not quite notice it happening.

There is something incredibly grounding about starting in the woods. The scent of pine and warm bark underfoot. That feeling of being held by the landscape. I knew I wanted to capture that first, with cedarwood, sandalwood and elemi forming a calm, steady base.

But Norfolk is never just one thing. You always end up by the coast. The light opens up, the air sharpens, and everything feels a little more alive. Bergamot and lemon bring that freshness and energy, like a deep breath by the sea.

The softer notes came last. Jasmine and ylang ylang, chosen not to dominate but to soften the edges. They add warmth and humanity to the scent, like skin warmed by sun and wind.

This is a candle for slowing down. For lighting in the late afternoon or early evening, when the day is easing into something quieter. It is meant to feel familiar, comforting, and gently transportive.
