Named the Guardian’s Best Natural Deodorant for Scent

The Guardian tested 18 natural deodorants and named Norfolk Natural Living “Best natural deodorant for scent.” Their writer tested our Coastal Walks scent and described its fragrance as the highlight.

I set out to make this deodorant because I was tired of choosing between products that worked and products that were kind to my skin. So I formulated my own; no bicarbonate, no aluminium, just ingredients I trust.

Instead of masking sweat, it works with your body: Aloe Vera calms sensitive skin, Jojoba Oil keeps things moisturised without clogging pores, Ginger Root brings its own soothing properties, and a probiotic ferment goes to work breaking down the bacteria behind odour.

Switching over? Give your skin a couple of weeks to adjust, some extra sweating or odour early on is completely normal as your body recalibrates.

My tips: exfoliate before you start, stick to breathable fabrics, drink plenty of water, and don't rush the process. Every person's skin tells a different story.

Our natural deodorant is packed with amazing natural ingredients - these are the ingredients we use and why we use them:

Aqua: (Water) Helps to dissolve the ingredients - so the skin can absorb and maintain both moisture and the other skin-boosting ingredients from within the deodorant.

Aloe Vera (from the flesh of the Aloe Vera Plant) is a power house of an ingredient, Aloe vera's properties there is lots it can do. Naturally antibacterial and antiseptic, it is a wonder at helping to remove odour-causing bacteria, whilst helping to soothe irritated skin. Boosted by its nature, it can also can to support your skin barrier function.

Glycerin (is a natural compound derived from vegetable oils) Vegetable glycerine is great at attracting and locking moisture into your skin, thereby helping to soften, smooth and soothe. With a pH level that closely matches the skin, it make it a very delicate ingredient - perfect for sensitive skin.

Jojoba Oil (is an oil from the seed of the Jojoba plant) known for its anti-inflammatory properties and it is a deliciously rich source of Vitamin E and B-complex vitamins, which help to repair and control and damage to your skin. Alcohol Denat - is a vegetable based alcohol - it has two functions in our natural deodorant, firstly it is used to help dissolve all the ingredients so that our deodorant can dry quickly, it also helps to naturally remove some of the bacteria that forms odour in your arm pit.

Saccharomyces Ferment (is a natural ingredient from yeast) packed with enzymes and nutrients, which not only nourish the skin but also have antimicrobial and antifungal properties. These properties make it an excellent addition to natural deodorants, as it helps neutralize odour-causing bacteria while maintaining a healthy skin microbiome.

Lactic acid is both an AHA and a humectant, so it helps to hydrate the skin. We have included it in our deodorant as it helps to ensure it is mild and non-irritating. Ginger Root From the Ginger plant - is a wonderfully helpful anti-inflammatory and deodorizing ingredient.

Sodium Benzoate - is an anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agent - helping to prolong the shelf-life of your deodorant.

Xantham Gum - thickening agent so your deodorant doesn't run down your arm

Ingredients: Aqua, Alcohol Denat, Aloe barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Glycerin (Vegetable based), Saccharomyces Ferment, Polysorbate 20, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Lactic Acid, Zingiber officinale (Ginger) Root Extract and Citric Acid, Parfum (Fragrance). Limonene, Linalool.
